BIOGRAPHY
Enzo Di Claudio MarguttArchitettura founder.
In 2013 I founded MarguttArchitettura, a laboratory studio located in one of the most fascinating streets of Rome, my city. I am deeply and intimately linked to this city which, despite all its contradictions, is a source of continuous inspiration, and also represents my philosophy of personal and professional life very well in its rhythms. I have always carefully selected my clients, to whom I am grateful for the significant opportunities that each one has given me in a different way. I have pursued my professional career by sometimes refusing positions that are inconsistent with my vision. My research is deliberately far from the hype and the pursuit of visibility at the expense of care. I am happy every time to devote myself to a new project in a meticulous way, perhaps for someone a bit maniac, but with the dedication of a true craftsman, as it happened in the past in art workshops.
MY PROFESSIONAL PATH START SINCE 1989
Urban planning engineer, graduated at Sapienza University in Rome on the theme of the recovery of suburbs in metropolitan areas. I applied the themes of urban redevelopment in the workplace, in the early years on behalf of the company Bonifica S.p.A. As a consultant, attended in the research in the European context Eupolis, which was followed by a Laterza publication, and subsequently, attended in the project of the New Town Plan of the city of Verona. More in detail, I was directly involved in the drafting of detailed design plans in different areas of the city.
In the following years, as project manager, I followed several Environmental Impact Studies including, the most important, the new high-speed Genova-Milano railway line and the enlargement of La Spezia’s harbor.
Since the mid-90s I have decided to deal in detail with residential architecture, for which I have always had a strong passion, but the predominant attention to the relationship between the project and the context of belonging remains of the urban planning approach.
